Top Thumb Wheel

Zooms in or out of the 3D image.

Select

Enables you to select end points of measurement tools that have been drawn into the 3D image (Measurement tab). You can then edit the position of the end points.

Rotate

Enables you to rotate the 3D image in any way you wish within the space. This is the default mode when you switch to 3D view for the first time.

Zoom

Enables you to increase or reduce the zoom factor of the image area.

Move

Enables you to move the 3D image.

Fly

Enables the flight mode. This mode allows you to virtually fly through the 3D image. Use the keys from the list below to control your flight.

Bottom Thumb Wheel

Rotates the 3D image around the horizontal (X) axis.

Precision Mode, enables slower movement

Toggle X/Y Clipping Plane (Blue)

Toggles the visibility of the X/Y clipping plane.

Toggle X/Z Clipping Plane (Green)

Toggles the visibility of the X/Z clipping plane.

Toggle Y/Z Clipping Plane (Red)

Toggles the visibility of the Y/Z clipping plane.

Snap

Creates a 2D image of the current view. The image is a 24 bit color image. All annotations are burned in automatically.

Add

Adds the current view to a position list as a new position.
With the help of position lists you can have your view calculated as a series of individual images. This series can then be exported as a movie, for example.

Play

Only active if a position list containing at least two saved positions exists.
Plays back a preview of the series that is calculated. To stop the preview, click on the button again.

Left Thumb Wheel

Rotates the 3D volume around the vertical (Y) axis.

Home View

Switches back to the start view from any view.
A top view of the 3D volume is displayed. Lateral movements and the zoom factor are adjusted so that the 3D volume can be seen at the center of the image area.

Show Measurements

Shows or hides measurements.
If measurements are drawn in, a table of the measurements appears at the right side of the image area.

Show Bounding Box

Shows or hides a bounding box around the 3D volume.

Show Coordinate Axes

Toggles the visibility of the coordinate axes.

• X axis = red
• Y axis = green
• Z axis = blue

Show Scaling

Toggles the visibility of the scaling on each axis.

Show Objects

Only available if you have licensed the 3D Image Analysis functionality.
Toggles the visibility of the analysis objects in the 3D volume.

Spin Mode

Enables the spin mode. This allows to set the 3D volume in continuous motion. For a short description on how to use the spin mode, see Animating the 3D Volume.

Glass Visualization

Only available if you have licensed the 3D Image Analysis functionality.
Switches to glass visualization of the analysis objects in the 3D volume.

Opaque Visualization

Only available if you have licensed the 3D Image Analysis functionality.
Switches to opaque visualization of the analysis objects in the 3D volume.

Send to arivis Pro

Only active, if arivis Pro is installed and licensed on the system.
Starts arivis Pro and imports the image. The image will be displayed with almost identical rendering settings as in the 3D view of ZEN.
Note: Not all render methods produce absolutely identical settings between the two applications. This is due to additional functionalities available for arivis Pro.

Right Thumb Wheel

Rotates the 3D volume around the (Z) axis perpendicular to the screen plane.
