In this dialog you can define an interactive measurement procedure. You can specify the order in which the individual graphic elements should be drawn in and which measurement parameters you want to have calculated for them.

Available Elements Section

This section displays all available graphical elements ordered by type. The following types are available for selection:

Element Type

Description

Region 2D

Displays graphical elements you can use to define a closed region.

Line

Displays graphical elements you can use to measure a single distance.

Lines

Displays graphical elements you can use to measure several distances at once.

Angle

Displays graphical elements you can use to measure an angle.

Point

Displays graphical elements you can use to perform measurements at a pixel.

Points

Displays graphical elements you can use to count various events in an image.

Double click on an element to select it and add it to the Selected Elements Sequence list.

Selected Elements Sequence Section

This list displays the selected graphical elements in the order in which they will be drawn during the measurement, from top to bottom. To display the value of the measured feature in the image, activate the corresponding checkbox. To add a new feature to the element, double click the feature in the list on the right, or select it and click .

Delete

Deletes the selected feature.


Upwards

Moves the selected feature one position higher.


Downwards

Moves the selected feature one position lower.

Features Section

This section displays a list with all the features that you can measure with the graphical element activated in the Available Elements section. For a description of individual measurement features, see Measurement Features.

Here you can enter parts of the name of the feature that you are looking for. The features in which the entered character string occurs are listed.

Select a type of feature according to which you want the features to be filtered from the dropdown list.

All features that contain meta information about the measured image are listed.

All features that describe the position are listed.

Polygon-based Features

All features polygon-based features are listed.

Statistical Features

All features that can be used for plotting in a heatmap (i.e. that provide statistical values suitable for heatmap plotting) are listed.
