Creating a Workflow
- Open the Workflow tab.
- The Workflow tab is displayed and the view changes, see User Interface for Workflows in ZEN.
- To the right of the Workflow dropdown list, click
and select New.
- The dropdown is changed to a text field.
- Enter a name for your new workflow and press Enter. Alternatively, enter the name and click
.
- A new empty workflow is created.
- Check the file path for Output Folder. To change the path where your results are saved, click
.
- A file browser opens.
- In the file browser, select the folder where you want to save your workflow results and click Select Folder.
- You have updated the location where the result data is saved.
- To add a step to your workflow, go down to the list on the tab and click
. Alternatively, click + Add Step.
- The Workflow container on the right displays a view to select a step. They are ordered into different categories.
- Select the category. Alternatively, use the search field to search for a step. If it is the first step of your workflow, you need one to load input data or acquire an image.
- The respective steps are displayed.
- Select the step and click Add. Alternatively, double click the entry.
- A new step is added to the workflow and is visible in the list on the Workflow tab. The corresponding step is also displayed in the column to the right of the Workflow tab.
- In the step header, click +Tool.
- The Workflow container on the right displays all tools available for this step.
- Double click the entry for the tool.
- The tool is added and its parameters are displayed in a tool window below the step header.
- To a pause at a step during a workflow run, right click the step in the list. By default, each newly added step is set to run automatically.
- The context menu is displayed.
- Select Add Pause Marker.
- A pause marker is added to the step.
- To repeat certain steps of your workflow, you can add a loop, see Adding a Loop to a Workflow.
- You have defined a loop.
- To group certain steps together, see Adding a Group to a Workflow.
- You have defined a group of steps.
- Repeat these points to add all steps you want to use in your workflow.
- You have added steps to your workflow.
- Next to the Workflow dropdown list, click
and select Save.
- You have saved your workflow.
- You have created a workflow. You can now run your workflow, see Running a Workflow Stepwise or Running a Workflow Automatically.
