Base Software

• End of Windows 10 support.
• Docker Desktop: ZEN 3.14 will automatically start/stop Docker Desktop with ZEN to enable smooth operation.
• Container Applications: The following applications require the installation of Docker Desktop and the respective container which are available from the ZEISS Microscopy Installer:
• Axioscan Spatial Biology (Tissue Detection, Co-Registration).
• Lattice Light Sheet (Lattice Lightsheet LED Reflex Correction).
• ZEN Toolkit AI (ZEN Toolkit AI: Intellesis Denoising).
• AI Sample Finder (AI Sample Finder).
• Compatibility of instance segmentation models: To use older instance segmentation models trained on arivis Cloud before 21st October 2025 with the latest NVIDIA graphics cards (Blackwell architecture), retrain the affected models on arivis Cloud to generate a models compatible with latest NVIDIA GPUs. Models trained after this date require NVIDIA GPUs with CUDA Compute Capability ≥ 7.0. On systems with older, incompatible NVIDIA GPUs, you must disable GPU usage in ZEN to run these newer models (in Tools > Options > arivis Cloud deactivate Enable NVIDIA GPU for Instance Segmentation). This forces CPU-based processing, so that these newer models can still be used on systems with older NVIDIA hardware.

AI Toolkit

• New AI Denoising based on container technology.
• Integrated CAREamics library (Jug Group at Human Technopole).
• Advanced AI denoising features: cohesive denoising result for z-stacks with new 3D denoising, N2V2 to remove checkerboard artifacts, Struct2N to remove correlated noise.
• Full integration in image processing, direct processing, live denoising and OAD scripting environment.

Lightfield 4D

• Support for Lightfield 4D on LSM900 and 980.

Microscopy Copilot

• Introduction of wide-field microscopes.
• Improved answer content and form through agentic AI.
• Instrument-aware answers: Copilot will provide answers relevant to the available instrument and software.
• Now also available through a web browser.

ZEN Early Access Features

• Workflows: Test an upcoming workflows feature allowing users to create and manage workflows for automation and smart microscopy.
