Airyscan RAW Data

This module (available for LSM 910 and LSM 990) is part of the Airyscan processing functionality and allows you to save and export the Airyscan data in a format which allows best compatibility to third party and self programed processing tools. If you have licensed the Airyscan processing functionality, the function to get the original 32ch raw data is also available.

Saving Images in 32ch Airyscan Format

Per default, Airyscan data is stored in a 4ch format, which allows faster processing. Also the Sheppard sum export is available in this format.

If you want to acquire and save the data in the 32ch Airyscan format, do the following:

  1. You have licensed the Airyscan Processing module.
  1. Click Tools > Options > Acquisition.
  2. The acquisition options are displayed.
  3. Open the LSM section and activate Keep Airyscan Raw Data.
  4. Click OK.
  5. The Options dialog closes.
  1. Data is now acquired and saved in the 32ch Airyscan format.

Exporting Data in 1ch Sheppard Sum Format

  1. You have licensed Airyscan Processing.
  1. On the Processing tab, in the Methods tool under Utilities, select Airyscan Sheppard Sum.
  2. In the Input tool, select the Airyscan image that should be exported as a Sheppard sum.
  3. At the top of the Processing tab, click Apply.
  1. The image is exported as a Sheppard sum. This export does not change the Airyscan data format, but generates an additional data file with just one summed up channel of the Airyscan. Since no filtering or deconvolution is performed, this data format is compatible with many third party or self programed deconvolution or machine learning super resolution methods.
