1. You have configured the general settings for setting up a tile experiment (experiment created, at least one channel defined, Tiles dimension activated).
  2. You are on the Acquisition tab in the Tiles tool.
  1. Open the Sample Carrier section and click on the Select... button.
  2. The Select Sample Carrier Template dialog opens.
  3. Select an existing sample carrier template or generate a new template by clicking on .
  4. You can display or edit the user templates by clicking on and selecting the Display/Edit… entry. Zeiss templates cannot be edited. To create an editable user copy, select the Copy And Edit… entry.

  5. To close the dialog, click on OK.
  6. Calibrate the sample carrier by clicking on the Calibrate button.
  7. The Sample Carrier Calibration Wizard opens.
  8. Follow the wizard until you have fully calibrated the sample carrier.
  9. The information The sample carrier is calibrated appears in the Sample Carrier section.
  10. Note that the calibration values are stored in the experiment and can be re-used if you work with absolute coordinates by calibrating the end stops of the stage and focus drives and no other changes are made to the hardware set-up. This can save considerable time when you want to work repeatedly with the same sample carrier model and acquisition regime.
