Docker Desktop and ZEN
Some functionalities in ZEN rely on Docker containers and therefore need the software Docker Desktop installed and running on the PC. Docker Desktop is installed together with ZEN and is available in the ZEISS Microscopy Installer. You can define if Docker Desktop should automatically be started and stopped together with ZEN under Tools > Options > Startup/Shutdown. We differentiate between user specific and system-wide docker containers.
User Specific Docker Containers
These containers can be imported or downloaded by each user individually and are not shared between different Windows user accounts. The user specific docker containers in ZEN include:
- AI models downloaded from arivis Cloud, see Downloading AI Models.
System-Wide Docker Containers
System-wide docker containers provide general features and are available to other Windows users on the PC. They need to be installed with the ZEISS Microscopy Installer. The system-wide docker containers in ZEN include:
- A container for Intellesis Denoising to train a model for denoising images.
- Functionality for tissue detection and image alignment (co-registration) for the Spatial Biology toolkit.
- A container for AI Sample Finder.
- LED reflex correction for Lattice Lightsheet 7.
