Compatibility of Instance Segmentation Models

The latest NVIDIA graphics cards (Blackwell architecture) are not compatible with older instance segmentation models trained on arivis Cloud before 21st October 2025. These models must be retrained on arivis Cloud to be compatible with latest NVIDIA GPUs.

Models trained after this date require NVIDIA GPUs with CUDA Compute Capability ≥ 7.0.

On systems with older, incompatible NVIDIA GPUs, you must disable GPU usage in ZEN core to run these newer models (in Tools > Options > arivis Cloud deactivate Enable NVIDIA GPU for Instance Segmentation). This forces CPU-based processing, so that these newer models can still be used on systems with older NVIDIA hardware.

Issue with ZEN core, ZEN Data Storage & arivis Cloud

For ZEN core configurations using ZEN Data Storage, there is currently a known issue affecting the direct connection to arivis Cloud. An error message appears when opening the General Options dialog, so it is not possible to enter the Access Token and use the AI Models section in the Templates Manager to download instance segmentation models via ZEN core. If you need to use instance segmentation models, download the required models directly from the arivis Cloud web interface and then import them manually into ZEN core.
