Starting and Stopping the Application
Starting the arivis Hub DMS Uploader
- You have installed the application and set it up.
- Start the uploader by using the Windows search or clicking the entry in the start menu for all apps (All apps > Carl Zeiss Microscopy > arivis Hub Uploader).
- The login page is displayed.
- Enter the url of your server as well as your User Name and Password, and click Log In.
- You are logged in and the application starts. During the startup of the uploader, the (last saved) settings are validated. If there are any invalid settings, red validation messages indicate the problem.
Stopping/Restarting the Upload
- The application is running.
- In the Windows task bar, click on the icon of the application
. Alternatively, right-click the icon and select Show Uploader. - The last active page opens.
- Go to the status page and click Stop Uploader or Start Uploader to stop or restart the upload.
- You have stopped/restarted the file upload.
Time Delay
Stopping the upload process may take some time, depending on the current state of the upload process and possible problems.
(Re-)starting the upload process always erases the statistical information (uploaded files count and total uploaded bytes) as well as the recorded upload failures. Always save the recorded upload failures before (re-)starting the upload process, if needed.
Stopping the Application
- In the Windows task bar, right-click the icon of the application
. - A context menu is displayed.
- Click Shut down Uploader.
- You have now stopped the entire application.
Shutdown Delay
The exit of the arivis Hub DMS Uploader may take some time, depending on the current state of the upload process and possible problems.
Note that it may delay the shutdown of the operating system if the arivis Hub DMS Uploader is still running.
