Troubleshooting

In this section, you find possible problems and solutions.

arivis Hub DMS configured with https is not available and/or marked as "unsecure" in the browser

When running arivis Hub DMS with https, make sure that the SSL certificate is installed in the Personal folder of the local computer certificate store. Additionally, the Root Authority Certificate, which was used to sign the selected SSL certificate, needs to be installed in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities folder on all the clients.

On the server itself, also all referenced/intermediate certificates have to be installed in the certificate store. The SYSTEM account on the server must have access rights to all the necessary intermediate certificates.

For information on installing certificates, contact your IT department. For information on which certificates are installed on your machine, see the instructions below. The following workflow is only applicable for systems running with Windows 10.

  1. Go to the Windows search and enter certlm.msc.
  2. Right click on the result and select Run as administrator.
  3. The certificate management console opens.
Certificates - Local Computer window showing certificate store folders like Personal and Trusted Root
  4. Expand the folder Trusted Root Certification Authorities and select the folder Certificates.
  5. All security certificates in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities folder are now displayed on the right side.
  6. To check which intermediate certificates are installed, expand the folder Intermediate Certification Authorities and select the folder Certificates.
  7. All intermediate certificates are now displayed on the right side.
  8. To check, if the SYSTEM account has sufficient access rights to a certificate, right click the certificate.
  9. A context menu is displayed.
  10. Select All Tasks > Manage Private Keys.
  11. A permission dialog is displayed.
  12. Select SYSTEM and make sure the permission for Read is activated.
  13. Click OK to exit the dialog.
