Navigation Menu

Navigator |
Displays the image and the image part currently visible in the image area. This currently visible area of the image is illustrated by a white box. Moving the box with pressed left mouse button to a new position updates the image area. With the slider or input field, you can adapt the zoom level of the image. The two buttons above the image enable you to directly zoom to 100 percent (1:1) or to fit the view (Fit). |

Dimensions |
Enables you to move through the different dimensions of your image, e.g. to view the different z-planes, scenes, or time points. |
|
Player |
Enables you to automatically move through the image dimensions with a player functionality. You can move through the image in both directions, with different speed and also set a loop. |

Show as channel split |
Activates the split view to display all channels in individual image containers. The last one shows the combined image with all channels. The currently selected image is highlighted with a blue frame, and in this view panning and zooming is synchronized. Note that this view is limited to 15 channels and it is not possible to add objects. |

Single channel mode |
Activating this mode displays only one channel of the image. You can switch between the different channels by clicking on the respective channel. in this mode, all Channel Settings apply only to this single channel. |
|
Channel name and color |
Displays all channels of the image. Clicking the channel name opens a color palette. The selected color is automatically displayed in the image area. |

Channel selection |
Selects the channel for which you want to adjust the settings. You can either select one individual channel, or All Channels. |

Adjusts the display characteristic curve in a way that the darkest pixel is black, and the brightest pixel is white in the display. |

Adjusts the display characteristic curve in a way that 0.1% of the darkest pixels contained in the image are black and 0.1% of the brightest pixels are white in the display. |

Histogram |
The histogram shows the brightness distribution of the pixels that are present from all channels simultaneously. The y-axis represents the relative frequency, and the x-axis indicates the brightness. A curve showing the corresponding distribution, the display characteristic curve, is displayed for each channel. If you open the histogram while in Single Channel Mode, the histogram only displays the information for the selected channel. |

Histogram slider |
Displays and sets the black and white value with the slider or input fields. The histogram graph is updated accordingly. |

The left slider handle or input field sets the gray value for which all pixels are shown as black with. |

Objects Menu
Object Tools
Offers tools to draw objects into the image. The tools also allow freeform drawing on the image, and the possibility to modify (parts of) some freely drawn object.

Toggles the visibility of the features of the individual objects. |

Object List |
Displays a list with tags and objects. A tag is the highest element in the list hierarchy under which individual objects are grouped. The currently displayed objects in the list are the ones of the selected tag. All objects that are drawn into the image are always added to the currently selected tag. Double clicking the name of a tag or object enables you to rename it (the Default tag cannot be renamed, however). The individual objects have the same color as the tag, in the list as well as the image viewer. A click into the color field of a tag opens a window to select and change the color. |

Toggles the view of objects of a specific tag. The button on top of the list toggles the visibility of all objects. |

Deletes the respective object or tag. If you delete an entire tag, all the individual objects of that tag are also deleted. |
