Polarization Viewer

Note that for visualization of images in the polarization view only images acquired with ZEN 3.2 or newer can be displayed!

No Objects Visible

Objects drawn into an image are only visible in the regular 2D view and not in the polarization view.

If you open an image with polarization channels, you can open this view via the right toolbar. It displays the individual polarization channels as a multi-image view.

1

Left Toolbar & View Options
Displays the standard tools and the view options for the polarization image view, see Polarization View Options.

2

Image Viewer
Groups the acquired channels based on the contrast method and displays them in separate image containers. Every polarization channel (xPol, pPol, cPol) is displayed in each own container as well as brightfield and fluorescence channels (e.g. if there are several brightfield channels, they are all displayed in one container). In the view options you can toggle the display of the individual contrast methods. You can also drag and drop the individual containers to another location in the view.

You can zoom into the image using the mouse wheel and pan the zoomed in image content by pressing the left mouse button. Zooming and Panning are synchronized for all view ports. If you use the histogram control in the view options, the settings are applied to the currently selected and highlighted image container.

Toggles the visibility of the individual channels of the image. If you toggle off a specific channel, the respective image container disappears in the view.

Angle

Sets the polarization angle. Intermediary angles are interpolated by blending the image information between the two neighboring acquired images.

Speed

Sets the speed for the player.

Sync. rotation

Activated: Synchronizes the rotation for all channels.

Play

Plays through the angles automatically.
