ZEN 3.11

Base Software

General:

• Improved AI model manager for instance segmentation models with sorting and additional information for improved model management and enhanced usability.
• Discontinuation of arivis Cloud (on-site): In order to maintain the efficiency of ZEN and arivis Cloud, arivis Cloud (on-site) functionality in ZEN will be discontinued. ZEN 3.11 is the last version with this functionality.
• Migrated ZEN to .NET 8.
• Added ZEN Coded Microscope module for ZEN lite. ZEISS microscope users with coded components can now upgrade their ZEN lite installation to allow ZEN to read the hardware configuration from the instrument, automatically use the information to calculate correct image scale, and save correct experiment configuration in the CZI file metadata.

Direct Processing:

• Added Apotome Plus processing (not currently recommended for large multi-tile experiments).

Apotome Plus

• Added the new Apotome Plus functionality enabling Apotome users to improve image quality and resolution down to 180nm to resolve even finer structures. The functionality is implemented in Direct Processing and Batch Processing.

Toolkit 2D

• Improved speed of instance segmentation for multi-scene images.

Bio Applications (Bio Apps)

• Improved speed of instance segmentation for multi-scene images.

Developer Toolkit/Smart Acquisition Toolkit

• Possible breaking changes to scripts due to .NET version upgrade for ZEN 3.11 from .NET4 to .NET8: If you use OAD scripts that utilize general .NET functionality and upgrade from older ZEN versions to a ZEN version 3.11 or higher, be aware of possible breaking changes caused by the upgrade in the .NET version of ZEN, see Breaking Changes.

Widefield Acquisition

• Added optimal binning: Depending on the selected magnification and resolution, ZEN can now suggest the optimal camera binning setting.

Celldiscoverer 7

• Implemented a remote restart/re-initialization of the system hardware.
• Improved field stop calibration.
• Improved Multiwell view with pan mode and the option to edit color and width/height of the grid lines.

LSM 980 with FLIM

• Added support for multi-position FLIM acquisition.
• Enabled NLO FLIM acquisition with ZEISS BiG.2 detector.
