As mentioned in the introduction, VR collaborative sessions work by rendering locally in VR a shared dataset. This dataset must be in the SIS or CZI format. The VR Collaboration tool does not support importing.

In the configuration window we can select which dataset to link to the session and how that dataset will be made available to download. Four options are available:

• Publish a local image to Azure storage
• Publish a local image to the collaboration server
• Publish a local image to a shared folder
• Link a remote image

Which of these options we use will depend on the size of the data and our IT infrastructure and services.
