In the following, you find the software and hardware requirements for arivis products.
Basic requirements
These requirements define the minimum configuration needed to install, run and use arivis Pro for basic visualization and analysis.
The software is designed to process very large image datasets using tiling and temporary local storage, so the entire dataset does not need to fit into RAM. As a result, local storage and a suitable GPU are more important than very large amounts of RAM for basic operation.

Supported VR headsets
arivis Pro VR uses by default the OpenXR standard to connect with a VR headset. This offers a great variety of supported headsets, which includes amongst others:
- Oculus Rift S, Oculus Quest, Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest Pro (via Meta Quest Link or AirLink), Oculus Rift CV1, with Touch controllers
- Valve Index
- HP Reverb G2
- Varjo Aero, VR-3, XR-3, VR-2, VR-1, XR-1, with Index controllers (recommended) or Vive controllers
- Varjo XR-4 with Varjo controllers
- HTC Vive, Vive Pro, Vive Pro 2, with Index controllers (recommended) or Vive controllers
- HTC Vive Focus 3 or Vive Cosmos (with SteamVR streaming)
- Pico Neo 3 Pro and Neo 3 Link (with DP cable), or Pico 4 (with Pico Streaming Assistant)
- all other VR headsets running with SteamVR (incl. standalone headsets using SteamVR streaming)
- all other VR headsets running with Windows Mixed Reality (Samsung Odyssey+, HP Reverb, Dell Visor,...)
- all-in-one VR headsets running with OpenXR are additionally supported via virtual desktop
Supported VR stylus
arivis Pro VR supports the MX INK, the MR Stylus for Meta Quest.
